Meeting of the Debate School in the National Gallery of Georgia

Meeting of the Debate School in the National Gallery of Georgia

Tbilisi Debate School continues to work actively face-to-face, online and hybrid.

Our host Georgian National Museum turned out to be a particularly impressive place for the members of the Debate School, where pupils, after seeing the exhibition, worked in groups and discussed works and epochs.

The first steps towards the preparation of presentations have already been taken, and they have also started to study various important communication methods.

New project with UNICEF

The first meeting of our project “Schools as a Social Model for
Improved Access of All School Children and Young People to Inclusive and Quality Education” has already taken place in the Parliament.
We are pleased to be actively working with the support of UNICEF Georgia, with the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, and The Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee to increase access to inclusive and quality education for public school students.

Meeting with school principals of our debate clubs

The meeting with the school principals, of our debate clubs involved from all around Georgia, exceeded all expectations.
We have seen in the examples of such successful and enthusiastic schools how important the involvement and support of school leaders, administration, and the school, in general, is for the development of debate clubs and the next generation as a whole.
Special thanks to

Tbilisi Debate School – First Meeting

The first face-to-face meeting of the Debate School left an unforgettable impression on us.
We are confident that working with each candidate in the Debate School will exceed the positive expectations raised during the individual interviews.

Certification Ceremony of Teachers

In the framework of our project #DebatesforBetterEducation, the final event of the teachers’ training was held successfully.
Teachers from Kakheti, Imereti, Tbilisi, Shida Kartli, Adjara, Racha, and now Samegrelo, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Upper Adjara, and Svaneti attended the hybrid certification ceremony.
Teachers selected through a large-scale contest have mastered the techniques of debate and club management.
The event also featured a presentation of the debate impact research within the project.
Thanks for the special active involvement of our invited guests

Opening of the debate club face to face in Anaga

The face-to-face openings of debate clubs actively continue.
We are glad to meet such interested and motivated young people in Anaga.
Of particular note is the well-arranged and diligent welcome of the pupils, on such difficult days, after the end of the lessons, when they waited for a few hours to meet us, due to our delays in other schools.

Opening of the Debate Club face to face in Iliatsminda

We have successfully started the face-to-face opening of debate clubs within the project “Debates for Better Education”.

We are glad to have met such motivated and interested schools where the involvement of children in the Debate Club is already so high that we have even received a handmade poster of our project from them.
The engagement of the pupils in the first meeting, in question-answer mode, made an unforgettable impression on us.

Extracurricular Activities in Chiatura

We were given a unique opportunity to continue work face-to-face with pupils from different schools in Chiatura Municipality.
It was especially impressive to visit such amazing, interested young people in different villages and towns of Chiatura.
We are glad that our supervision with local specialists was so successful.
